Christmas Eve Morning in Seattle '10

We have been unable to ge a good shot of the Christmas tree, so i'm settling for the reflection of the tree lights on the fridge.

I walked downtown friday morning in search of fresh crab and took photos of holiday cheer along the way

no snow for us this year just the typical seattle spit

I made it to the market, bought crab and veggies and some little cinnamon donuts...then I walked around to the backside of the donut hole and took this shot.

Gina's company has a holiday party every year where they have a catered dinner
and pay for us to sleep downtown...so even though we live a few blocks from "downtown" seattle we sieze the oppurtunity for the "staycation".

 

my first week in Seattle back in 2001, I discovered this little hole in the wall fish n chips place...love it,  when i'm eatin my food and it's cold, rainy, dark and the cioppino is hot the beer thick..northwest YAYA!

it was raining hard this night and even harder the day after, anyway this guy was playin to the air

the next morning after hearing the rain and wind pelting the window all night we went to breffa and had to ford the corners

the winds overnight caused a sudden shedding of leaves

from inside the Mayflower Hotel the ceiling here was Grrrreat!

I was imbibing at the Elysian this afternoon and the couple next to me were chatting about art and inventory, I discovered they were the owners of a little art studio on Broadway & Pike called "Square Room" last year I photographed some statuettes they had in the window, I related this info and they told me the girls were called "boobie babes"  love it!
